Lisbon Oceanarium

The Lisbon Oceanarium is an impressive aquarium, home to more than 8,000 species including sharks, tropical fish, rays, amphibians, mammals, birds, and invertebrates.

The main tank, though it may not seem so at first glance, is divided into four marine habitats. All connected through the representation of a single ocean. This large central tank is called the Global Ocean.

To make the most of your visit and plan at a comfortable pace, allow between 1.5 and 3 hours to explore this fascinating giant aquarium.

After marveling at the central tank as you enter, you'll come across the North Atlantic, Antarctic, Temperate Pacific, and Tropical Indian Ocean habitats.
