Pavilhão Chinês Bar
This is one of the most eclectic bars in the city. A collector's bar for a night in the finest baroque style. The bar crowns Bairro Alto, the liveliest spot during Lisbon's nights.
It is decorated with hundreds of thousands of objects from different collections — collections of jugs, posters, figurines, dolls, and more. To get in, you have to ring the doorbell; you'll be let in as long as the bar isn't full.
The place itself is a little pricey by Lisbon and Portuguese standards, but it is well worth it. It's a stunning spot. The bartenders tend to have a stern demeanor, but that's part of the bar's concept; besides, the service is impeccable. The drinks are a bit expensive (starting at €7 for the cheapest, up to €1000 for a bottle of champagne), but well poured.
It has comfortable sofas and a couple of pool tables (€12 an hour!). Don't forget to check out the cocktail menu — it's beautifully illustrated and well worth a look.
